They opened up conference play with a 20-point win over Pacific and then beat Portland by 13 on Saturday. The seven straight wins have come against mostly inferior competition, but they do own wins over then No. 21 Creighton and Utah during their run. It has been a good run for a Cougars team that started the year just 5-5 and had losses to South Dakota and Utah Valley.

Loyola Marymount has also played well at times this year but is coming off a tough 78-72 loss to Pacific in its second conference game.

The Lions opened WCC play with a 92-72 win over Portland, but struggled against the Tigers and lost 78-72 to drop to 1-1 in the conference.

Thursday they return home for their first WCC game on their own court and will be looking to get a big win against a streaking Cougars team.
